DHLSNA members (all rates are in US currency):

Rates have now expired. Late Registration fees apply
after March 15, 2011 and are as follows (DHLSNA membership
for the remainder of this year are included in the full
package only):

The full three-day conference fee includes admission to all
conference activities at the Mitchell Library as well as 3
lunches and 3 days of morning and afternoon coffee/tea service
on site. It also entitles you to appetizers and beverages,
including wine, at the Welcome Reception on Wednesday, June 29,
and appetizers and beverages, including wine, a main entre' and
dessert at the Awards Banquet on Friday, July 1, at the Menzies Hotel.
If you would like to bring a non-registered guest to the Awards
Dinner, an additional $70 will be added to your registration
fees. (A vegetarian option is available for all
meals.)
Additional charges apply for excursions to
Manly and Tarongo Zoo on Saturday, July 2, 2011, and to Thirroul
on Sunday, July 3, 2011. Prepayment online is available
for the Thirroul excursion only. Please bring cash for the
other trips.
Refunds: After April 15, 2011, the DHLSNA cannot
provide refunds of conference fees.

All conference attendees (presenters
and audience with full package registration) must be current
members of the DHLSNA, thus membership is included in the late
registration rate. Daily rate visitors are exempted.
If you are already a member of the DHLSNA, you'll
receive a $10 member-discount. To check your membership status,
please visit this list of members who are paid-up past 2010 to
see if you must also select the DHLSNA membership along with your
conference registration (Are my dues
current?).
Accommodations:
Conference participants are responsible
for making their own bookings for accommodations.
The Menzies
Hotel, 14 Carrington Street, Sydney, will host our
Welcome Reception and Awards Dinner. The hotel has
reserved a limited number of rooms for conference participants
at a discounted rate until Feb. 28, 2011 (After that date, the
discount may still be applied on a space available basis only) There
is a required discount code,
which we will provide during Step 2 of the payment process.
Remember to contact them as soon as possible to guarantee the
discounted rate. For any changes in your hotel bookings,
please
contact the Menzies Hotel directly or email
stay@menzies.com.au.
Speakers:
The following update comes from Nancy Paxton, conference
director:
"David Game and I are writing with wonderful news: We have
confirmed that the following speakers have agreed to offer
keynote or featured presentations at the 12th International D.
H. Lawrence Conference in Sydney."
Dr. Bethan Jones will present
the first plenary lecture:
"Other Ways of Summons:
Music and Sound in D.H. Lawrence's Poetry," at our
welcome session on Wed. June 29, 2011.
Dr. Paul Eggert will present the
Spilka Lecture:
“D.H. Lawrence and Henry
Lawson: Parallel Paths,” on the afternoon
of June 29.
D. J. Britton,
who worked on BBC productions of Lawrence’s work, will
present a plenary address entitled “Modernist Tones,
Australian Cadence: Dramatising Lawrence, White and
Jolley” on Thurs. June 30.
Dr. Christopher Pollnitz will present a keynote address
entitled "D.H. Lawrence and
Judith Wright: Modernist Poets" on Friday, July 1.
The program will also include at least 50
papers offered in concurrent sessions. Several other special events and speakers
are planned and will be announced soon. Conference presentations will begin at 9:00 am on June 29.
